We left St John on June 23rd, and decided to give "camping" from the Toyota a trial run at Deception Pass Park, approximately 50 miles north of Seattle. It worked like a charm with some used sofa cushions from the Goodwill ($2.50 each) seamlessly covering the cargo deck, covered by a featherbed and lots of downy covers. We were as cozy as 2 bugs in a rug. When Candice awakened in the morning, there was so much condensation on the windows from our breath, she thought it was foggy. We were never cold.
